Tactile ground surface indicator (TGSI) system

This is a system of ground surface indicators that serve to provide information, orientation, guidance and warnings for blind and visually impaired people. It creates a high tactile, visual and acoustic contrast against the surrounding ground surface. The surface textures consist of ribs and truncated cones, where a permanently anti-skid walking surface is an essential component of the design.
