New Material Name: Beton-LIGHT is now called Minerallith!

REC has eliminated the possibility of confusion withsimilar material names and has provided greater clarity:

Betonlith: - The high-performance concrete
Minerallith: - The light, cementitious mineral stone
Stuccolith: - The mineral stone of high-grade stone plaster

STEPLINE INDOOR – The new tactile groundsurface indicator system for indoors

The established tactile systems have always had their place outdoors. INDOORS by REC Bauelemente GmbH now guides you further towards your destination. It is a functional system of ribs and truncated cones, and has been tested and recommended by the German Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired, DBSV e.V.

It does not disturb the interior space or aesthetics; quite the opposite – it organizes the space, is attractive and makes sense.

Donations instead of gifts

As announced, REC supported the relief organization Plan International Deutschland e.V. with a donation at the turn of the year 2010/11.As stated in the final report, our support went towards the building of five cyclone-proof schools and the renovation of two other schools in Myanmar.

We thank all of our customers for the successful cooperation in 2010.

New and attractive approach to REC

We used our own products when designing and building the forecourt to our company's head office. The surfaces are much better to evaluate over larger areas and under natural light than as samples.

Innovation Award Architecture & Building 2011

REC Bauelemente GmbH received this award for its product Wall Panel Beton-LIGHT Curtain Structure, in the category "Synthesis – Architect and Industry Working Together".

Innovation Award Architectureand Ground of AIT 2011

Once again, in 2011, REC Bauelemente GmbH was awarded the Innovation Award Architecture and Ground of AIT in the category Products of High Architectural Quality for its product Betonlith Grey as a fair-faced concrete for use as floor tiles. The innovation Beton-LIGHT White and Black as concrete floor tiles received special attention.

"Blind Man's Bluff" at Shanghai EXPO 2010!

From 3 June, Chinese visitors will have the chance to experience Berlin blindfolded over REC tactile paving and indicators. The exhibit "Close your eyes and see Berlin" conceived by Technische Universität Berlin and the Senate Department for Urban Development Berlin presents an audible and tactile Berlin from Central Station to Nefertiti. REC Bauelemente GmbH is present as a sponsor.
